How to choose an event venue in the Rio Grande Valley
A practical framework for comparing RGV venues without losing the feeling you want for the day.

Begin with the guest experience
Before collecting screenshots, decide where most guests are coming from, how far they can reasonably travel, and whether overnight stays are likely. A beautiful venue becomes harder to love when arrival, parking, or lodging is unclear.
Use your guest count as a working range rather than a single number. A room that technically holds 250 people may feel very different once a dance floor, stage, buffet, and circulation are included.

Compare the real event window
Ask when vendors can enter, when guests can arrive, and when cleanup must be complete. Two packages with the same headline price can produce very different days when setup and overtime are counted.

Make the backup plan visible
For outdoor ceremonies, ask to see the weather backup during the tour. Confirm whether the indoor alternative is included, how quickly the venue can turn it over, and who makes the final call.
